Informing a research & development strategy for social services in Scotland

Wednesday, April 29, 2009

IRISS has been commissioned by the Scottish Government to provide a report to assist with the development of a national research and development strategy for Scotland's social services.

The aim is to ensure that those working in the sector have access to sound research and strong evidence to support the design, development and delivery of social services in Scotland.

To inform the report we are inviting representatives from the public, private and voluntary sectors to complete the following online survey to build a better understanding of your needs in relation to creating and using evidence in decision-making. Your input will be most valuable and we would appreciate it if you would share your views with us.

The purpose of the survey is to:

identify current levels of engagement with research to develop services and improve practice

assess the sectors views on the need to improve research & development capacity and capability

highlight the skills, barriers and opportunities to improving capacity and capability

identify the contributions of potential partners for delivering a national research & development strategy

The survey will take no more than 10 minutes to complete and you can enter the draw to win a £25 Amazon voucher.

Thank you for taking the time to complete the survey,
