My background is in the technical and legal aspects of knowledge and information sharing.

Social media is revolutionising the way we use and share knowledge, yet corporate IT policies often prevent people from experiencing - and therefore understanding and creatively using - tools such as Youtube and Twitter. We need to trust professional people to use their desktop computer they way they want to.

My current interests are social media, Creative Commons, linked data information literacy and exploiting Wikipedia for knowledge sharing in the social services.
