Evidence-informed practice case studies
A range of organisations in Scotland are seeking to improve their use of evidence to inform their practice. Often information about what they have done, how they do it and what they have learnt is not widely available. IRISS and NHS Education Scotland are looking for case studies about how individuals and organisations across the social services in Scotland create, use and share evidence to inform their provision of support to people. We plan to use these case studies to highlight how evidence is being used to good affect across the social services and help others to think about how they can improve.
These case studies highlight the different ways of gathering 'evidence' and how this is being done by practitioners working in social services to change how they deliver services.
Case study 1: Empowering vulnerable children and their parents using Talking Mats
Case study 2: Embedding Evidence at Includem
Case study 3: Measuring Outcomes in Angus
Case study 4: Using Evidence to Promote Positive Outcomes in Social Work
Case study 5: Creating Evidence through Small Scale Pilots
