I started my career as a support worker in a day centre and in the community. After completing my degree in Public Policy and English Literature, I moved into service development and coordination. Prior to joining Iriss, I worked on a Scottish Government funded project to develop inclusive approaches to assessment in the context of Self Directed Support.
I first came to Iriss as an Associate on the Fit for the Future project, working with the independent sector to improve outcomes for older people.
I'm now a Project Manager in the Innovation and Improvement team, and really excited to be supporting the sector to innovate, take risks and improve outcomes. Within this role, I'm most excited by the way that we can use different approaches to challenge and subvert long-standing power structures and broker relationships. I think about power a lot in what I do.
