As part of our Kindle programme, we bring different types of knowledge together, making it accessible and useable for workers.
Are you keen to improve your practice, develop a service or think about a new way of working in social work and social care? Our free Evidence Search and Summary Service can help you ground your work in up-to-date evidence and knowledge.
The service gathers evidence from research, practice and experience to help improve practice, develop services and explore new ways of working to deliver better support for people.
It is open to anyone working in social work and social care who doesn’t already have access to a similar service, for example, NHS employees and students who have their own library services.
When you have identified an issue related to social work and social care that you want to explore, we will work with you to produce a summary of the relevant evidence, which we call an Outline. To produce an Outline, we review both academic and practice publications. It can be in-depth or rapid and focus on perspectives, methods or approaches depending on what you need. When the outline is completed, we can also provide follow up support to you and your team/organisation. Browse Outlines.
We can help you find your own evidence, research and knowledge for practice or service development. We provide one-to-one online/phone support and workshops for organisations and networks on how to do this.
