On the 16th of May Iriss hosted a day of doing things differently (innovating) in social work and social care support in Scotland.

We brought together people from across the sector to talk and think about how to make social work and social care support work better for people.

Attendees heard from speakers involved in innovation and change, and shared their ideas, views and experiences in our workshops and discussion sessions. These conversations explored innovation in: day to day practice, supporting people better, changing commissioning and more!

Speakers included:

  • Joanna MacDonald – Deputy Chief Social Work Adviser at Scottish Government
  • Dee Fraser – Chief Executive Officer, Iriss
  • Angela Catley – Director of Development, Community Catalysts
  • Derek Feeley – Chair of the Independent Review of Adult Social Care
