It’s Co-production Week (14-20 November) in Scotland!
At Iriss we believe in active citizenship and involving people who access care and support in a meaningful way - a way that means people have the right to participate in and access information relating to the decision-making processes that affect their lives and well-being. These values underpin effective co-production and are reflected in a lot of our work.
Examples of our work include:
- Pilotlight - this week the Pilotlight project launches a new video animation - Putting you in the driving seat - which provides a short, accessible introduction to SDS, gives some examples of how it can be used to support recovery, busts some myths about SDS, and explains how to go about accessing it. As part of the week’s activities, Pilotlight will present at the Scottish Care’s Care Home Conference on Friday 18th November.
- Keeping it Personal - improving person-centred care and support.
- Hospital to Home a project to identify and improve care pathways from hospital to home, and enable a more positive experience for all.
- Mental Health Stigma and Discrimination (See Me). The project also involved some reflections on co-production as a process.
- Redesigning support for care leavers report. This work led onto Relationships Matter.
- The Big Idea - a place-based (Falkirk and Glasgow North West) piece of work focused on generating learning on how collaborative relationships work.
Get involved in Co-production Week
Find out how to get involved in Co-production Week. You might want to share your vision for co-production in Scotland or write and share a story of co-production in action.
The Scottish Co-production Network and Ingage team have organised a roundtable discussion - ‘A conversation about co-production’ on Friday 18th at St. Andrew’s House in Edinburgh. Iriss will be around the table to discuss our approaches to co-production. The discussion will be chaired by Gillian Russell, Director of Safer Communities.
