Iriss is proud to say that the ASPire Hub, a place for everyone working in Adult Support and Protection to access and share resources, is supporting two new drives to improve quality in ASP work throughout Scotland.
Firstly, the ASPire Hub is publishing the work of the National Implementation Group and its subgroups. These groups were set up to assist Adult Protection Committees with the implementation of changes to policy and practice when the revised Adult Support and Protection Code of Practice was published in 2022. The ASPire Hub will host each new resource from the National Implementation Group as it becomes available. Two resources are up already. One is about effective participation by the adult in ASP case conferences, and the other is on the oversight of non-Council Officers.
Throughout 2025, more resources will be published on the dedicated section of the ASPire Hub. Audiences for each resource are clearly set out and, when all are published, they will provide comprehensive support in implementing the revised Code of Practice.
Secondly, the ASPire Hub is proud to support the newly published Quality Improvement Framework for Adult Support and Protection, or QIF. This is a collaboration between the Care Inspectorate, Healthcare Improvement Scotland and His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary in Scotland (HMIRS). On the ASPire Hub, it is easy to access all of the resources cited in the QIF in one place. There’s also a blog published on the ASPire Hub, written by the Care Inspectorate, explaining more about the QIF and how it was developed.
As always, the ASPire Hub welcomes your locally-produced resources, your feedback and any other useful material you’ve come across. Thanks to everyone who’s contributed so far and keep the suggestions coming!
We’re also available to do virtual demos of the Hub at forums and meetings. Please contact Jeanette at aspire.hub@iriss.org.uk for further info.
