Fit for the Future is a partnership project of Iriss and Scottish Care dedicated to inspiring better outcomes for older people by working with providers from the independent sector. The project worked with care homes and care at home providers in four areas - Argyll and Bute, Falkirk, North Lanarkshire and West Lothian - to support innovation and service redesign. Key areas such as outcomes, care in times of transition, community links and compassion were explored.
Fit for the Future is a project dedicated to inspiring better outcomes for older people in Scotland by working with providers from the independent sector. This is a round-table reflection on the work in Argyll and Bute. The project brought together providers, commissioners and key strategic leads in local authority and the NHS to understand the current commissioning and delivery of care at home. It resulted in some new and innovative approaches to commissioning.
This case study describes changes to the interior design of a purpose built children's home in Argyll and Bute, which has been used as a children's home since May 2001. The home contains six bedrooms to accommodate the children and young people.
