Iriss worked with East Lothian Council for nine months between October 2012 and July 2013 to help facilitate their Getting it Right For Every Child (GIRFEC) and Child Protection Quality Improvement Sub-group (hereafter known as 'the group'). This was a multi-agency group, consisting of representatives from Children's Wellbeing Social Work, Child Protection, Education, Health, the third sector (specifically Children 1st) and the Police.

Report that is drawn from lessons learned during the facilitation of Evaluation Exchange.

Evaluation Exchange was a time-limited peer support network created by Iriss and Evaluation Support Scotland. It aimed to help organisations in the social services sector to learn from and support each other to undertake evaluations of the services and support they provide to individuals in Scotland.

This report presents the results of a small qualitative study undertaken between February and March 2011. It considers the role of evidence in decision making around risk in social work and what affects this process.

The research aims to shed light on the relationship between evidence and practice wisdom (as an evidence type or integrating vehicle) or professional judgement, and how this relationship shapes decision making.

A report detailing our experience and outcomes of a community research project working with young people who were, or had been, in care to design and run their own research. The project evaluated Who Cares? Scotland's advocacy services in two local authority areas. As a result of the research Who Cares? Scotland agreed to consider certain changes and improvements to their services.
