In May 2024 the second ever rural social work conference was held in Scotland. A recording of this online event is embedded above.

The conference explored hidden issues and injustices in rural communities and the role of rural social workers. Its aims were to challenge prevailing myths and stereotypes, and make these more visible in thinking about policy and practice. In doing so it celebrated what is good about rural social work practice, while not shying away from challenges for the future.
