Iriss was delighted to be a partner in the SSSC's Careers in Care website, which was launched on 16 September in Dundee.
The website provides lots of information and advice on undertaking a career in children and young people's social services, social services and healthcare, and social work. Content includes:
- over 20 practitioner career stories
- interactive qualification pathways that show how to enter the sector and progress in your career
- links to opportunities to work, train or study
- frequently asked questions with advice about funding, qualifications and more.

Developing and supporting career pathways in social services is key part of our work to support delivery of the National Workforce Plan for Health and Social Care. This great new resource will help people start their career in social services and give workers already in the sector the ideas and information they need to progress with links to clear qualification routes and stories from other workers.
At the launch we spoke to a number of practitioners for our Iriss.fm podcast, which will made available soon.
