Webinar on domestic abuse and sexual violence

Published in News on 26 Jan 2021

Working to tackle domestic abuse, support the victims and their children, and deal effectively with perpetrators is a complex, multi-agency activity in all parts of Scotland. However, when it takes place on one of our many islands there are particular challenges and barriers that must be considered.

On 25 February we will facilitate a one-hour discussion that explores the experiences of professionals in Orkney and Argyll and Bute, as well as best practice and initiatives that have been designed to help.

Speakers include Mandy Sheridan, who will provide an overview of the challenges experienced by practitioners, and Zelda Bradley, who will focus on her work to support survivors affected by sexual violence in remote communities.
