'A year from lockdown' event

The full report of the Chief Scientist Office (CSO) funded research to examine the impact of Covid-19 visiting restrictions on relatives of older care home residents, has been published. 

'A year from lockdown' event will be held on 23 March (12-1.30pm) to share findings from the research in Phase 1 of lockdown, on the impact of visiting restrictions on family carers, as well as the creative practices that have helped connect families. The session is about continuing the conversation, with short inputs from stakeholders including: Iona Colvin, Chief Social Work Adviser; Donald Macaskill, CEO of Scottish Care; Care Home Relatives Scotland; care home staff; and the research team from the CSO-funded research.
