Newly qualified social workers conference

This year’s free conference for final year students and newly qualified social workers will explore the themes of power, partnership and participation as part of shaping the future of social work practice. 

The event which is being held on Monday, 17 May will include a number of keynote speakers and a range of workshops and talks on topics such as hate crime, community social work, social justice and rural social work. 

The conference is hosted by the University of Stirling and delivered in partnership by the Heads of Social Work Education, Iriss, Scottish Government’s Office of the Chief Social Work Adviser (OCSWA), the Scottish Association of Social Work (SASW), Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and Social Work Scotland.
