Inform the future of voluntary throughcare and mentoring

Published in News on 14 Jul 2022

Community Justice Scotland in partnership with the Scottish Government is exploring the provision of non-statutory, voluntary throughcare and mentoring services across Scotland for individuals serving short term prison sentences of up to four years.

Following a well attended launch of the project in May, further research and engagement are underway.

We are facilitating a number of roundtable discussions that will take place in Inverness, Dundee, Glasgow, Edinburgh and online. These sessions will go into greater depth on key questions and collectively identify what the future of voluntary throughcare could look like.

If you are involved in criminal justice / throughcare and mentoring or related support, we want you to inform this work. Sign-up to attend:

Online: Highlands and Islands (Note: this session replaces the in-person Inverness event that was previously advertised. Please note it is only for people working in the Highlands and Islands).
