Description
The Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007 is guided by a number of principles which recognise the importance of adult participation. This guidance sets out practitioner's responsibilities and best practice in promoting an adult's participation in the ASP process. This includes guidance on keeping someone informed, addressing barriers to participation, and advocacy. There is also accompanying guidance from Scottish Borders on the role of the Chair in supporting participation.
