Research Unbound

Dr Sarah Wilson of the University of Stirling recently completed ESRC-finded research (Young People Creating Belonging: spaces, sounds and sights) into how young people who are looked after feel that they belong, or do not belong. The two-year project explored looked after people's sense of belonging (whether positive, negative or ambivalent) in domestic and other spaces. It employed various visual and audial methods to explore these themes.

Working with Sarah we set up a blog (using the popular Wordpress platform) which explains these methods and their advantages, and provides examples of the young people's work alongside the project findings and recommendations for policy and practice. Please visit the Sight and Sound Project Young people creating belonging blog where you can make comments and observations on the work. For further information, please contact Dr. Sarah Wilson.

We have published the blog under the umbrella of Research Unbound, an exciting new initiatve to help make research accessible.
