Is technology the answer for rural social work?

Published in News on 8 Apr 2022

The benefits of technology to both city and rural communities have been apparent throughout the global pandemic. However, is technology the answer to the challenges of working with rural and remote people and diverse communities?

Get along to a webinar on 4 May (1-2pm) to hear from Jane Pye, a Lecturer in Social Work at Lancaster University. Jane led a small exploratory project which was finalised in 2021 on the experiences of social workers working in rural settings. This has led to further work in rurality and a growing interest in the use of digital technology to support rural social work practice.
