Dying homeless: Learning for anti-oppressive practice

Remote video URL
Description

This video presentation outlines the work of the Dying Homeless project, which aims to document and remember with love every person who dies while homeless in the UK. This presentation particularly focuses on harm and risk to people while homeless, spotlights promising practice, discusses the specific context in Scotland, and explores a 'whole-systems' approach as a potential way forward.

Grateful for the opportunity to be able to watch this session; found it really helpful to be able to look at the speaker's slides in one window while listening to her presentation. Thank you!

Lots of incredibly useful takeaways, including consideration for what data should (and could) be most relevant and meaningful for collection re: homelessness and its intersection with ASP; how homelessness is still often considered a "choice" and a need to consciously and actively shift that narrative; and how we consider homelessness in the context of ASP Learning Reviews. Lots of food for thought about whether all the relevant teams are aware of how to make an LR notification and whether there should be more activity re: reviews of deaths when homeless in Scotland.

Only comment for future recordings is that it was difficult to hear the questions being asked from the audience; I wonder if we could ask future presenters to provide a quick recap of the question for the recording's purposes.
