Curate and Connect: new collections

Published in News on 3 Aug 2020

There's now six collections of resources available as part of the Curate and Connect series. Curate and Connect brings together special collections of Iriss resources based on topics at the forefront of the Covid-19 crisis.

Trauma is the newest topic and others include: social isolation; leadership; domestic abuse; self-directed support and homelessness

The collection on trauma features a recording of a webinar hosted by the Personal Outcomes Collaboration, which includes a contribution from John McCormack about recovery, trauma and personal outcomes. In his presentation John touches on trauma as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and the opportunities posed by 'post-pandemic growth'.

The collection focuses on both children and adults and includes Iriss.fm episodes, evidence summaries and a video where Dan Hughes, a US Clinical Psychologist, summarises how the brain reacts to trauma and how an understanding of this process is helpful to foster and adoptive parents and professionals.
